1. Overview
PhishSonar is a learning tool for spotting phishing signs in emails. This page explains what data the app touches when you use it and what gets saved.
2. Email Content During Analysis
When you paste an email into PhishSonar and click Analyze Email:
- The email body and links are checked in memory to look for warning signs.
- We do not save the full email text to the database.
- PhishSonar does not send emails, click links, download attachments, or share your input with outside services.
3. Saved Analysis History
Saving an analysis is optional:
- If you leave the "Save this analysis to history" box unchecked, nothing is written to the database.
- If you check that box, the app saves the date, subject line, sender address, reply-to address, risk score, risk rating, and the list of triggered findings.
4. Cookies
PhishSonar only uses standard session cookies needed for the web interface to work. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
5. Contact
